Keppel Sands Don't listen to the rubbish blurb under the tracks about the "pop production". It's always the quality of songs that wins out over studio trickery. And Oversize wins in a big way. The guitars are hard and very AC/DC / Angels here and you know what that means. Rocks loud, and tastes great with a cold drink in your hand on a hot summer day. Favorite track: Cocoon.

about

2004 saw "The Ball" release their second full length album "Oversize". When the decision was made to bring a producer to the project, Mark Opitz was hired due to his magnificent productions in the 70's & early 80's (AC/DC,The Angels,Divinyls,Rose Tattoo). Unfortunately, what the band got was something more in the direction of Mark's 80's pop productions. A very well recorded album but it has been described as "Rollerball under water" due to the amount of reverb & delay used in the final mix. It's still a great collection of songs & the very raw and unproduced bonus track evens the score. Rolling Stone gave this album four stars. You be the judge?
